What inspired you to take this course and career path?
Being involved in an evolutionary aspect of modern medicine and able to visualise beneath the skin is pretty incredible. I had an ultrasound of my Achilles’ tendon when I was younger – being able to have a look at the tendon’s integrity on ultrasound is pretty cool!

What are three personality traits that make you suitable for your selected course and career?
Having empathy and sympathising with patients and their family in some tough situations. Being a strong communicator and being able to use initiative.

Why did you decide to become a Class Rep.?
To represent my classmates’ opinions and have a voice for them. Hopefully, making our final year of Uni a smooth endeavour.

What is one thing you would like to see an improvement on in your class this semester?
Better communication between Unitec and the students.

How do you plan on putting this into action?
Liaising with key staff members and ensuring info is passed on in a timely fashion.

Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?
With post graduate experience in trauma and paediatrics as well as training or trained in a modality – either CT or Ultrasound.

If you could live in a TV show, which show would it be?
Code Black. Centre stage. Life in the fast lane.

If you could bring someone back to existence to talk to for a day, who would it be and why?
My grandad, he was a very knowledgeable and inspiring man. Just to tell him what I have been up to lately would be really nice.

What is one thing that people would never have guessed about you?
I love adrenaline!  Flying, gliding, bungy jumping, skydives, white water rafting. I love the rush you get from it all!
