Have you felt like you needed some break to keep your attention revising your notes?

Have you often tried to concentrate harder only to end up losing your focus?

It’s time for you to take a break!

Studies show that taking a break from studying helps improve your productivity, concentration, focus, and energy. It also rejuvenates your brain to get more out of your revision. On the next three weeks, from Monday, 6 November to Friday, 24 November, go on and take a break by getting to know the Wellness Centre.

From Monday to Friday, we will have a ‘Hang Out’ zone at Te Puna, which includes board games, giant chess, colour stations, crosswords, and stationery giveaways. The station will be open from 10:00 am – 02:00 pm each day.

At Waitākere campus, we will have a ‘Hang Out’ zone as well, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, at the Social Space near Refuel Café.

Aside from these two zones, there will be FREE fruit, water bottles, stationery, tea, and coffee sachets along with crosswords, colour stations and board games in 13 other student kitchens around both campuses for our students to enjoy.

We will be running a competition to WIN a relaxation pack from LUSH or a longboard! To win one of them, all you have to do is list two support services that they can access at the Wellness Centre on the competition cards available on our Hang Out zones, drop it in the box and you’re in the draw.
