Unitec’s Department of Osteopathy has celebrated its annual ball at the beautiful Fhloston Paradise in Ponsonby.

Everyone had put in a great effort by dressing to the theme of Black and White masquerade with one exception of BK Kang’s unique sandwich costume! He took us all by surprise and we just couldn’t resist awarding him the best-dressed male of the night.

Some prizes given away that night were a student survival kit, a pamper package, and a bouquet of instant Kiwi scratchies. Rochelle from Osteopaths New Zealand was kind enough to gift us a free year’s student membership with ONZ, which was won by a lucky and deserving first year, Olivia Wells.

After our continuous hard work, and what felt like an enormously long first half of the semester, it was wonderful to be able to laugh, dance, and have a bit of fun with our Osteo family. It is these relationships that we will be carrying forward as we progress through our studies and our careers. It was so great to be able to strengthen these bonds outside of classes.

We’d like to extend our warm thanks to the Unitec Student Council for their support and the funding from the student-initiated events fund for helping to make this great night happen.
