What inspired you to take this course and career path?
My major is GD in Computing. The reasons I chose this course are:

  1. IT is an interesting industry. I believe will have more opportunity to experience Hi-Tech.
  2. I want to improve my English skills.
  3. I also want to strengthen my Computing knowledge.
  4. I want to experience different cultures.

Why did you decide to become a Student Rep?
As a Student Rep, I hope for more opportunities to help the students who come from different countries, improve my oral English skills, and practice public speaking.

What changes do you hope to achieve as a Rep this semester?
I wish I can improve my English.

If you have to bake or cook for others, what is your ‘signature dish?’
Roast chicken wings, steamed fish, braised pork in brown sauce, and some dishes from Guangdong Province, China.

Where is your hometown and what is the best thing about it?
My hometown is Meizhou, Guangdong province in China. The Hakka culture is the best thing about Meizhou (such as Celebrating the Lantern Festival, Hakka food, half Dragon House).

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
Germany.

What is the book or movie that has influenced you the most and why?
The movie that has influenced me the most must be ‘Gone with the Wind’. The actors are good at acting, the spirit – ‘never give up’ of the heroine always encourage me when I come up against difficulties.

What was your first job (or if you haven’t had a job, your first big responsibility)?
Garment Merchandiser. I am responsible for the Product Manufacturing, communicate with suppliers from sample making to products warehousing.

Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?
In five years, I will have finished my GD or PHD study, work as a software developer and enjoy my life.
